Glacier Park International Airport

July 2009 - December 2010

This website is dedicated to support an Official Glacier National Park Centennial fundraising event, Timeless Light: A Centennial Image Collection of Glacier National Park where 50% of the profit from this centennial legacy airport exhibit will benefit Glacier National Park through the Glacier National Park Fund. Glacier National Park was designated the 10th national park on May 11, 1910. As the park commemorates its 100th annivesary in 2010, this exhibit is one of many ways that people can engage in Glacier National Park's centennial. new york

GPIA through the generosity of the Flathead Municipal Airport Authority has offered the use of the beautiful terminal building as a unique, heavily-trafficked “gallery” to display this show beginning in July of 2009 and continuing through December of 2010. It is planned to extend the show if there is interest through 2019.

Glacier National Park Fund, the official non-profit philanthropic partner of Glacier, has partnered with artist Bret Bouda to utilize this collection as an opportunity to share the beauty of Glacier, capture the hearts of new visitors and support the preservation of our timeless treasure – Glacier National Park.

Ancient Quiet

The cedar-hemlock ecosystem encountered on this trail is an unusual one for Glacier Park, a thick grove of cedar trees with incredibly luxuriant undergrowth. In fact, this wonderful, fragrant forest and the wooden path make me feel like I am in a coastal redwood forest, not near the continental divide in the Rockies!
